Just Call Me Pollyanna

My latest book, Killer Winter, will be available to readers on March 13th.

Killer Winter features Homicide Lieutenant Leah Samuels who catches the first homicide of 2235. She’s called to a park shortly after midnight in the middle a monster blizzard. The park is bathed in blood, and has cops, veterans and rookies alike, throwing up in the gutters. It’s clear that forensically identifying the victims will take months if not years. Leah thinks she catches a break when a large piece of a hand is found. The identity of the victim leaves Leah stunned and doesn’t explain who the other twenty plus victims are. Slowly, but surely Leah begins building a case that leads her to several unexpected surprises.

As the time approaches when the book goes on sale on Amazon, anxiety begins to rear its ugly head. What if no one wants to read it? What if people do want to read it? Will they like it? What if they love it, but don’t leave a review? What if they don’t like it and do leave a review? Should I read only the good reviews? Or bite the bullet and read all the reviews?

I know I need to think positively. Everyone is going to love Killer Winter. Everyone is going to love Killer Winter. Yes. That’s the ticket. Then the little niggle of doubt creeps in. What if they don’t love it? Around and around.

Just call me Pollyanna. I’m determined to believe every one, well, almost everyone will love Killer Winter.
